Hey there, 2024!
Looking back at last year, it's
been pretty good overall. Sure, I've had my fair share of ups and downs, and
I'm well aware of my flaws. But you know what's crazy? God's been looking out
for me, even when I didn't realize it. Now, as I think about it, I'm hoping I
can start appreciating all the good stuff in my life a bit more.
So, I wrapped up the year with
some folks here in Maldives. We had dinner outside, had a little chat – nothing
too fancy. They're not exactly my ride-or-die friends; more like people I know.
It's not a deep connection, but hey, they're familiar faces.
My life might seem plain and
simple to others, and honestly, I'm cool with that. I decided to kick off the
new year mostly on my own. It might sound a bit lonely or dull, but this time
alone means something to me. Of course, deep down, I wish I could be
celebrating with my family, but it's been a good 10 years since I spent
Christmas and New Year's at home. It's wild to think about how all those years
away shaped who I am today.
Spent most of the day catching up
on sleep, and I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Treated myself to some
homemade tuna pasta and attempted a dessert recipe I found online. Had plans to
hit the books today, but the festive and gloomy atmosphere had other plans for
me, making it a day of more naps than study. Grateful that I managed to squeeze
in a bit of studying, though.
Reflecting on the past year, I
feel genuinely thankful to God for everything. Looking ahead to this year, I
don't want to make grand promises, but I'm committed to trying my best to
become a better person. Planning to embrace life with a more positive outlook
and offer up everything to God. Here's to a hopeful and promising year ahead.
